It's that time of year!

Kyler was in bed ALL DAY.  This picture is not the most flattering,
but it shows him smiling even when he doesn't feel good!
Well, we are sitting in Dr Vincents office waiting to find out if Kenzi Lou has Strep! Here is how we got here.......We were home Monday for MLK, which was good because Kyler was throwing up. He & Joe layed around & slept all day. Even though he wasn't eating I was making him drink anything & everything. Tuesday he woke up in a great mood but still had no desire to eat, so we kept him home. It's a good thing because Kenzi came in that morning with a fever, so she stayed home also. While I was cleaning & disinfecting the house they chilled, watched tv & played on the computer. Neither one of them really acted sick, so I kinda felt bad for letting them stay home! However, I noticed Makenzi was beginning to get a rash. So during my hair appt. I started googling scarlet fever, sure enough Kenzi had some of the symptoms that were listed. So by now it's after 4 but I call our ped. anyway. They agree & think it's probably Strep & told me to bring her in the next morning. So now we are back to the beginning of my story. Yes, she has Strep. So another day home for Miss Priss. Hopefully, I disinfected good enough and no one else will get it!! And thank goodness mom is retired & can stay home with her tomorrow!!!

Happy New Year

Welcome 2011!  I can't believe how fast 2010 went by!  It seems crazy that we have been in our house for two years!!!  It just seemed like yesterday we bough the land.  Well, I think 2011 will be a great year also.  Mom has just started her retirement, so I look forward to her being able to spend more time with the grandkids and hopefully move closer to us! Harry Connick Jr will be in concert in March, yay!! In April we will witness Jill marry Jeffrey.  I am so excited (for them, but also because Kenzi gets to be a flower girl!!)  And I am sure many more wonderful things will take place!

In 2010 we made some great new friendships, one of the families we have gotten close with are the Burchettes.  They are a super family and we enjoyed hanging out with them and the Cargals New years Eve.  It was a pretty low key evening(at least for the adults).  The kids were running around like crazy people running from the kids rooms to playing Wii!!  It's great when we get together because all our kids mesh.  Kam is the oldest, but he and Alli Burchette get along so well.  They vegged in her room talking and watching movies and trying to keep the little ones out of their hair.  Kenzi and Cassidy played with Maddis barbies and Ky, Chloe and Maddi ran around.  The adults played a wild game of Catch Phrase and Beyond Balderdash.  We ate some delicious food and had some yummy drinks.  It was a great way to bring in the new year!
