It's about time!
Well, I haven't blogged in FOREVER. I had every intention to get back in the habit during Spring Break (I was hoping to get caught up on a lot during SB), but it just didn't happen. Then like you, life has kept us very busy. Both the little ones were in ball this spring. Kam was in two different programs, and then school, church, work.....you know the drill, I just wasn't able to slow down! So no more excuses, it's summer and I am determined to get back in the blogging world. I am almost caught up on my 365 project-which is a lot harder than I thought it would be! So..... I am going to start blogging again and TRY to back track all the way to February, wish me luck! We are enjoying our summer so far. The first week we just CHILLED! I bought a little dresser to redo for Kenzi's room and started taking all the rattan off of my patio furniture. The second week Melia and I taught VBS and last week Joe and Kam were at Kids Kamp. This week I started a few more swim lessons and Karli has been hanging with us. Mom is on a trip with Sandy and the OBH, they should come home tomorrow. Drew hasn't been hanging with us lately, because he is a stud baseball player for Blanchard. Believe it or not today was the first day the kids actually swam with Tara and Julie since Memorial Day. Kam was a great big cousin and did a swim lesson with them both. I have started "several summer projects" and I think we have convinced mom to move, so we will be working on her house as well. It's going to be a great, but fast moving summer...so here goes!!

You MELT my heart!
So we are on Round 2 of the Blizzard and its Snow Day 1 of this weeks break, so I thought we would begin working on the kids Valentine's for school. We made it into a family project and even big bro Kam helped! Those are his hands below.
We then evenly distributed them broken crayons in a cookie sheet I purchased at
Wal-Mart for $9.00
Let them cool for 10 minutes, then I placed the sheet in the freezer for 2-5 minutes. And then plopped them out!
We created a few different sayings:
Have a COLORFUL Valentine's Day
You COLOR my world
You make my HEART flutter
I wish I would have thought of
You MELT my heart!
We also made these for some of our friends that we aren't in class with.
They are glow sticks get it.............
light-like?!?!

We had preheated the oven to 250 and then placed the cookie sheet in there for 10-15 minutes. Be careful when removing the sheet form the oven!

After all of our Upward BBall games we met up with the Cargals and Burchettes for an afternoon of SLEDDING!
Melissa and Stephanie decided to give 'er a go!

Brad is showing off!

Kam wanting me to take a continuous shot of him sledding down the hill!
What a great day with friends. Are you wondering why there is so much mud and grass? If so let me explian...during our Blizzards the temperature was literally freezing(haha). Almost to cold to bare, so we waited til it warmed up a bit and when it started to warm up it started melting....FAST! Therefore, it was not only chilly, but we also got crazy muddy dirty. I think I still have a load of laundry from that day to clean...again! Even though, it was still a great time!
